In the fall, winter and spring of each year, the Kappa Alpha Psi Hyattsville/Landover (MD) Alumni Chapter sponsors SAT Workshops at one of the high schools in Prince George’s County, Maryland. Over 1,8000 students from the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area come out to learn SAT test taking strategies taught by the nationally known SAT presenter Mr. John Swann. The SAT Workshops have been held at Central, Friendly, Eleanor Roosevelt, Charles Flowers, Henry Wise High schools and Ebenezer AME Church, Ft Washington, Maryland.

In conjunction with the SAT Workshops, the Hyattsville/Landover Chapter’s Scholarship Committee and the Kappa Alpha Psi Foundation of Maryland (CFC 72512) and the Academic Empowerment Foundation Inc. (AEF) CFC 91829 sponsor a Financial Aid Informational Forum for the parents of the students at the SAT Workshops. Almost 300 to 500 parents attend this FREE forum each year to hear information presented by representatives from college and financial organizations including Kaplan, University of Maryland Financial Aid Office, and the College Savings Plans of Maryland.

Our next FREE SAT Prep & Financial Aid Workshop will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2015 from 8:00a to 1:00p at Friendly High School located at 10000 Allentown Rd, Ft Washington, MD 20744. Additional SAT sessions will be held later, dates to be determined.

REGISTER TODAY FOR THE FREE SPRING SAT & FINANCIAL AID WORKSHOPS at www.hlkapsi.org but seating is limited to the first 500 students who register.

This Workshop is made possible with contributions from Federal Government Employees who participates in the annual “Combined Federal Campaign of the National Capital Area”: CFC # 91829 and CFC# 72512
