AEF Grants for College Tours

Instructions for Applying for Financial Assistance for College Tours

Another mission of the Academic Empowerment Foundation Inc., (AEF) (CFC 91829) is to provide Financial Assistance to students from the Washington DC Metro Area to help them to defray the cost of participating on college tours. Limited funds are donated to the AEF from Federal Government Employees through the National Area Combined Federal Campaign Annual Events to support this program with minimal qualifications for each student who apply.

Request for Financial Assistance to travel on a College Tour Up to $100.00 donation

For Washington DC Metro Area High School Seniors ONLY: To qualify, an applicant must have a combined SAT Score of 1050 (Math/Verbal score) or an ACT Score Equivalent. Submit an unofficial copy of your SAT or ACT score sheet and an unofficial copy of your High School Transcript with your letter requesting Financial Assistance for review and approval to the below address BY MAIL ONLY, no later than twenty (20) days prior to trip departure date.

For Washington DC Metro Area High School Juniors, Sophomores, and Freshmen: To qualify, an applicant must have a Core GPA of 2.95 or higher or a combined SAT score of 1050 (math and verbal) or ACT Score Equivalent. Submit an unofficial copy of the SAT/ACT Score Sheet and an unofficial copy of your current High School Transcript with your letter requesting Financial Assistance for review and approval to the below address BY MAIL ONLY, no later than twenty (20) prior to the trip departure date.

Complete the application, confirm the information AND PRINT IT OUT.

Students must mail completed applications AND accompanying documents to:

Applications/Packages are due no later than twenty (20) days prior to the departure date of the desired college tour.

Any application packages sent without the application form and all other required documents WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED FOR GRANTS. All students must fill out the form, print it out and send it in with the other accompanying documents.

Application Packages will not be accepted with less than 20 days prior to departure of selected tour.

Approved funds will be mailed to each approved applicant within 3 business days after receipt of initial accepted application. All checks will be made payable to the (College Tour Company ONLY listed with in your letter. Each applicant must include all requested information listed below. Incomplete submitted packages will not be considered.
